A deep golden, hay-like yellow color that reminded me of the risk I took on purchasing this, but the price was right. The nose on this is incredibly clean with white grapefruit, lime, mineral and a slight oxidation. Sure it’s lost its freshness, but its still an enjoyable wine. 13.5% alc. Recommended with Reservations. With cheese fondue watching the Colts slide past the Bears in the Super Bowl (or rather the Rain Bowl.).

($24) Aromatically a little typical and restrained. Ripe, densely flavored, and concentrated with round grapefruit and hints of herb. Kind of lacks distinction given its pedigree and price.

Outstanding. Clean, fruit-forward.
