This wine has too much acidity and it is not well balanced by the fruit and/or the tannins. I was disappointed for a Santenay 1er Cru and I'm not sure it will be improving with time unfortunately...

Medium garnet in color and nicely aromatic, this eight-year-old, medium-bodied Burgundy is holding up well. With a nice core of black raspberry, graphite, tangerine, loamy earth and pomegranate, it delivers its payload with fresh acidity, well-integrated alcohol and medium sweet tannins. Solid in the middle and medium in length on the back end, this is a wine which, if well-cellared, should hold up until the end of this decade. Drink now-2019.

Budget Burgundies (Wine Exchange - Orange, CA): Delicate bright red fruits on the nose which also shows attractive sweetness, baking spices, and flowers. Fresh red fruits on the palate with spices and good tannin presence. I love the fresh bright style that showcases the attractive fruit here.
