Red and dark fruits dominate the nose in the beginning but after some time some rustic but delicate aroma's like earth join the airial arena. The palate differs remarkably from the nose in that the acidity is somewhat on the high side and the taste is a tiny bit austere. However this gives the wine plenty of power and drive. Good length. Good value.
This wine took some time to open up. On the nose flowers, spices and wet stone. The palate consists of blue berries, cherries, earth and spice. Good acidity and lenght. Very good wine for this level. Still has enough life ahead.
Decanted for two hours before tasting. Light purple colour with pink edges. Red berries, burnt wood, spices and some fried pork sausage / bacon fat on the nose. Slender and elegant. Smooth fruit on the mid palate, but finishes off with enough bite to have me convinced that this wine will last at least another five years. Good now, but will most likely improve. Great value! I have one bottle left, but will definitely try to get hold of some more.
