  Dinner with the wine group (La Bohème, Palo Alto): Gorgeous pale ruby color, youthful still; aromatic, strawberry; palate is light bodied, youthful red fruit, medium-plus acidity; medium length finish. Really lovely burgundy, but a bit youthful and needs more time. 91-92+

  Beautifully fresh floral herbal and red fruited. A fine 2002. Excellent with grilled lamb chops.

  A 20-year old Grand Cru with freshness and enveloping acidity, from a site that used to be a limestone quarry. Rose petal and tobacco notes sustain an engaging mix of lightness and persistence. Terrific with the boeuf bourguignon!

  Mature and well balanced, the 2002 Corton-Bressandes sports an appealing blend of dark Pinot fruit and earth. Resolved but still with a freshness of fruit. Good finish.
