Mongeard-Mugneret and friends (London Borough of Bromley): Such an 07 nose. I'm not sure I even know what that means but it clearly has it. The palate keeps the promises the nose makes and this is red of the night and wine of the night. Wonderful stuff and I'd love to drink one again.

Had with Mother's Day dinner in Ossining. Ruby color, no real signs of age. Nose is clearly pinot, tart cherries and spice. Thinner on the palate than I expected, there's red fruit and spice in a savory, rustic blend, with a fairly long finish. Pleasant enough, but not a wine that I would gush over or run out and buy again.

Very impressive. Deep ruby / brick color to a mature brick / orange at rim. Mature, sweet brambly Pinot fruit that shows some autumn leaves and iron. Sappy and long, this is full of vibrant extract. Full and rustic but not in a heavy or burdensome way. Very nice - probably the best I have had from this producer. Best over next 5 to 7 years. (92)

Popped and poured. Wide open and ready to drink. Quite generous and rich for an '07. Perhaps the old vines are at work here. Dark berry fruit and savory earthy notes. I believe these will age further but not quit sure if they will improve. Drink now.

Same source as the last bottle. The 07 mongeard ge I bought from this source was excellent. I think this particular batch of 07 vv has "brett" issue. Watch out. 07 GE has no problem though.
