Very typical Monthélie in term of weight and balance but without much of the cherry or raspberry fruit that you encounter in younger versions. It’s bright and shows faint aromas and tastes of berry and earth. Drink up.

Very solid. Flavors of earth, black cherry, oak and leather. Not exemplary by any measure as a stand-alone sipper, but a quite excellent food wine, especially with a dry roasted chicken. Was best within the 15-45 minutes window after opening. 87-88

Don't expect too much out of this 1er cru. It is smooth and easy drinking. Not much depth. Some cherry, a bit mineral, herbs. Short finish.
