Consistent notes. Dark red, almost black, with a little garnet. Needed a two hour decant. On the nose, exotic spices, black fruits, barnyard. On the palate, what a glorious mouthful of wine. Thick, unctuous, complex, sweet, balanced, rich. Burgundy at its best. Drinking now.

ist of 6, perfect fill, not decanted - deepish cherry red, still quite purple edged; fresh plums, cherry, bramble, game notes, rich and attractive; fullish, long and persistent, quality fruit, complex, fine grip, barely entered its drinking window. Fine plus (18/20).
Darker ruby. Nose of black raspberry, licorice, a bit of vanilla, cherry pits. Palate difficult to describe: definitely some funky and earthy elements and some darker, plummy fruit but also a glossy, polished feel to the mouth texture. Finish long enough but echoes the same taste profile. Not sure what to make of it.
Now entering its prime drinking stage. Fruit still somewhat subdued, but very obvious. Silky wine, very well balanced, very good finish. Just slightly behind 02 Perrot Minot Chambolle Combe de Orveaux served next to it.
