Community Tasting Notes (2) Avg Score: 85 points

  • Clear, pale gold color with glints of brass, medium-minus viscosity. On the nose the wine shows some sulfur upon initial pour, medium intense fruit aromas of lemon, apple, white raspberry. Non-fruit aromas of grilled bread, carnations, and fresh cream. High minerality in the nose: wet gypsum and salt. Wood toast frames the nose. Sulfur completely blows off after 2 minutes in the glass. Attack on the palate show citrus, lemon leaf, and red berries. Floral and toast. High minerality present on the palate. Meatiness also, like boudin blanc. Acidity, is bright, lemony, lovely texture and a lingering floral/mineral finish. Drinks well now but still young and can be enjoyed over the next five years.
