Blackberry, cherry, and currant flavors. Quite fruit forward. Some oak but not overly obtrusive. For $12, a nice value. Paired well with grilled steaks.

Williamsburg Winery Tasting (Williamsburg, VA): the nose shows way too much green pepper. its weak on the fruit, like watery currants, but the oak is way too abrasive and the spicy acid of the underripe grapes is not fun. val called this wine undrinkable and spat it out. i thought it was drinkable, but not pleasurable.
