I remember this being much better at the winery but all in all it was a nice bottle to enjoy with a BBQ meal. Not worth the $70 I paid for it

Never really opened up. Good, rich red, but flavors are generic. There are better merlots out there at this price. Might need time.
Minimal damp basement aroma. Cherry, menthol, and earth flavors. Medium to full body with medium finish. Seems to be at an awkward stage.
A bit spicy on the nose because of the cab franc. Very rich and supple. Very long finish. Lasts and lasts and lasts.
Great nose. Dark berries and a hint of cinnamon. Not an overpowering mountain wine
