  • Nice nose.... kind of a sweet honey nectar oak with melon and fig, slightly floral and inviting. Not a touch of grass or green... there is 80% Sauvignon Musque clone used on this which probably explains why. On the palate the oak is a little too one dimensional IMO. It helps the mouth feel but it doesn't seem to be in balance with the fruit. This wine has changed quite a bit since I first consumed it in November of 2009; It was very acidic and has chilled out quite a bit since then... maybe should have drank it 3-5 months ago and the oak would have been less pronounced. Still a nice wine. Think food may help with the oak... maybe just not a solo wine.

  • Outstanding, a complex and really delicious sauvignon blanc. Wonderful with figs drenched with gorgonzola and wrapped in prosciutto.
