  • In the bouquet ripe yellow fruits and caramel. On the palate creamy yellow fruits and caramel again, butterscotch, very mild acidity and soft bitterness, but still powerful as well. Good complexity and length. A really beautiful and lush, mature Burgundy.

  • Medium brassy golden yellow in color. Forward, attractive and fragrant nose of mature & developed, complex aromas of apples, citrus notes of lemons/limes & grapefruit with floral notes of honeysuckle, minerals, buttery, toffee/caramel & a hint of roasted hazelnuts. Medium bodied with a good concentration of balanced, smooth textured, mature & developed, ripe fruit flavors of tart green apples, lemons/limes & grapefruit with minerals, honey, buttery & stony. Long, lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present and it may be headed on the downward leg of its peak. I doubt any further development would occur from additional aging, so drink up! This wine had none of the "premox" issues I had heard about occurring during this time frame.
