A very tight cork kept this in fine shape, still in its drinking window. Classic style and not too heavy or overly sweet, this drank well against both simple foie gras app and a smokey bacon and kale pasta dish! A real pleasure.

Raisin and dried-grape on the nose with the tint of spice. Powerful and overwhelmingly alcohol on the palate; again, raisin and dried grape feeling. Very rare feeling of tannins and the residual sugar. The structure already exhibits some complexity and aging. Long finished with the mineral feeling.
This is the ideal style of Amarone, the textbook version. However, without any obvious characteristic for this wine, it seems to getting lost among the Amarones out there. Great wine? Yes. Should buy one? It's depend. I think some Amarone vendors do a better job. It is a good introduction to the Amarone, but not the great one.
With all due respect, sometimes the textbook style is somewhat boring.

Nez sur le COCONUT, l'aneth et la vanille. En bouche, unidimensionnel, beaucoup de chauffe au début, prune et vanille par la suite avec finale sur le sucre et l'acool...trop gras en ce moment!

Vanilla and nuts for sure, figs too, initial smell like strong Port, I love this sensation.
