Beaucoup (trop) de tout: fruit, bois, alcool et sucre résiduel. Manque toutefois de typicité du Cabernet Sauvignon qu'on confond aisément pour du Merlot, de finesse, de tannins fins, bref, de raffinement.

My last bottle of this. It has been a nice friend. Again, the black cherries came through with a thumbs up among all of the guests. Not bad considering this was a late PNP.

Ryan expressed he thought this was the best one on the tasting table (blind 5 bottle mixed reds). I pegged it as CabSauv, but was thinking of Australian origin. Surprised it was California, not the same style, not as much 'pop' and body as a NorCal Cab. Fruits balanced, but not much undertones development.

Not exactly what I expected, but not bad. On pulling the cork, I got an herbal mustiness, which continued to the palate. With a little air, this turned into a ginger sandalwood aroma and flavor which though not characteristic for a California Cabernet, was not unpleasant. The fruit profile was more of the red variety, especially red raspberry and cranberry. Not particularly complex, and actually a little thin. More air smoothed things out, but never got it to what I though I purchased.

Noted some mocha and black cherries. A solid performer.
