Served blind. Light gold colour. Oyster shell nose, very reminiscent of a chablis. Quite mute palate and not showing much depth so everyone was stumped given the usual power of the leroy corton charlie (my guess) or d'auvenay whites. Incredibly young showing.

What Maurice said, well his last note anyway. A great example of how a humble white burgundy can age. No fruit whatsoever. Great acidity and minerality make it lively. The smell is mineral and wonderful. The taste kept changing over the 3 hours I drank this. Would love to buy more for the $12 I paid for it.

This was perhaps the best bottle of the case, but also the last. When drinking the previous two or three bottles, I thought this was tiring now, but this bottle was as fresh as it could ever be. Again a confirmation of the quality-possibilities of a humble appellation in the hands of great wine-makers.

Every time I drink wine of the humblest appellations from a great house, I stand amazed. When offered blind I guess this wine would easily be mistaken for a "village". Excellent minerality and balance. Very lovely.

This bottle was less than the previous one. It was slightly oxidised, but still enjoyable. Considerable length.
