Cork was brittle dry and the wine was maderized, with a distinct caramel color and taste. Not terrible in this condition, but not what one expects in a Chablis either.

Pretty nice wine and balanced, but somewhat lacks the acidity and the verve you expect out of Chablis wine. BTW do not keep it any longer as it won't age, I think it will only flatten rather than developing secondary or tertiary flavors; just doesn't have the chops to do that.
