Burghound

Vintage Tastings

  • By John Kapon
The Virgin Palate Dinner/Merry Xmas, 12/22/2009 95+ points

(DRC Romanee Conti) The first wine had cola in the nose, as did all three wines, in fact. There was also a hint of exotic fruit, almost coconut, but its intense iron and rust could only mean one wine, RC, and it was good to see that it was when it was finally unveiled, it being a 1911 DRC Romanee Conti (95+).
