  • This wine drank like a wine 10 years younger. Vibrant, full and multi-layered. Perhaps not as fruit forward as if drunk before, but still a great balance and fruit and mouthfeel. Shows that pinot open and close over time and this was a good time to drink.

  • Nicely aged - had softened but still very enjoyable. Had a glycerin quality and roundness to the fruit. May have been better 2-4years younger, but a treat to visit now. Recommend drink now, heading into secondary/tertiary territory.

  • not decanted, but followed in the glass for about 4 hours, and it demonstrated terrific development. really an outstanding domestic pinot. a whiff of stems, but dominated by good old black cherry and baking spices. great complexity. drink now - 2014.

  • Served blind. This wine isn't showing a ton of age, but it also isn't showing a ton of character, either. On the nose, very ripe blackberries, some vanilla still, and a fair amount of heat. In the mouth, this improved with some air, showing dark berry fruit, a very fine, lush texture, but a lack of acidity and back end structure. The wine kind of goes off the rails in the mid-palate and gets flabby. Unspectacular. B

  • Fresh cherry, spice, underbrush and a touch of vanilla, all well integrated and balanced. Medium bodied but still rich. Good acidity on the finish. Not quite as complex another wines from this vineyard but still very good.
