  • 50% Malbec, 50% Petite Verdot.
Dark opaque purple. Medium plus viscosity.
Massive plum aromas integrated with blackberry reduction, cigar box, hay bales, smoke, tar/creosote, ash, good and plenty's, and redwood on the nose.
The palate is just as massive, as expected with these two varietals. Full bodied with dense flavors of plum, blackberry, blueberry, tobacco, wood, spice, and toast mix with rich caramelized notes. The finish is moderate with gripping tannins, medium acidity, to balance, as fig paste provides the finalé.

  • Decanted and drank over 5 hours, with the first glass being at the 1 hour mark. At first taste, the acid was a bit high and the wine had a bite. Tasty, but could tell it had more to give. The aromas were wonderful. Stong, with berry and plum aromas. You can definately taste the Petit Verdot, but the Malbec does a wonderful thing to it, mellowing it out some and adding comlexity. The last glass I had, at the five hours mark, was incredibly smooth. Mouthcoating, with a long finish. Great wine for the price.

  • Decanted 45 min. plus. Deep, dark purple. Strong aroma of ??? Massive, earthy, tart, dark fruit. Full body, but not a long finish. Not complex. Interesting 50/50 blend of petite verdot and malbec. Unsure if will get more complex with age. Humorous bottle.
