WFA - after show dinner at Imperial Treasure Nan Bei (Suntec City, Singapore): My first Graves de Vayres - 70% Merlot, and 30 % Cabernet Sauvignon / Cabernet franc. You really must be quite a dolt to make a mediocre wine in Bordeaux in 2005, these guys came pretty close. Quaffable, but nothing more. Good enough nose - low toned, with cassis, tea and stony notes of gravel on a cold day. Palate was rather modern. Mid-weight, clean, plush and balanced with cassis and mint flavours moving into a short and rather uninspiring finish.
