3rd of 12, opened half hour, good notes previously - med deep plummy red, some development, fresh damson, earth and meat, consistent palate, good persistence and grip, quite complex fruit, a point. Fine (17.5/20).
Ruby red in color. Distinctive and spicy red cherry liquer, stems, some floral overtones and wet leaves on the nose. Light/mid-weight palate with red cherries and a lingering floral and earthy perfume on the finish. This is defintely on the very elegant side of Burgundy, but did not have the depth/cut of a Grand Cru.
