Dark ruby colour. Nose of chocolate, black cherry, tea and spice. Very smooth with black fruits and dark chocolate, followed by nutmeg and then tea. The finish is lengthy, but not thick. For a port, it is refined. 95
On the second try (two weeks later with private preserves nitrogen gas) it has a nose of roast beef, chocolate and baking spice. Still chewy with a long finish. I’m raising my score to 97.

Blackberry jam and a little peppermint on the nose, initially dry to taste with stewed fruit (raisin, fig) and ripe plum flavours building to a rich, warming finish. Not had many single Quinta vintages before, perhaps I've been missing out - much more interesting than a bad run of (syrupy) Tawny and (overbearing) LBVs I've had recently.

From a 375ml bottle. The cork broke upon popping. Vibrant nose of candied dark fruit and minty notes. Full bodied, sweet, showing ripe dark fruit with minty notes and initially a slightly austere aspect. Improved with airtime. Delicious stuff.

Fig fruits. Quite thick and textured - maybe needed more time.

Lovely depth, very plummy, raisins and winter spices. A treat during a stormy evening.
