  oh boy, didn't expect much but this was a real treat. slight amber color, nose of licorice and mint and a touch of leather. It was still there on the palate - soft tannins, just enough fruit with plums and raisin and a very pleasant finish. Paired well with the salsiccia, peppers and onions mixed with diced tomatoes and marsala wine. Its always nice to pull an old Italian out of the cellar and bring back great memories of how a wine has aged over time.
