  nose - mishmash of wood and heat. somewhat concerning for whats to come. needs more aeration?
  mouth - alas, reassured. juicy red fruits with good acidity has a peppery character giving away its zinfandel origin. Much better than anticipated given the nose. Surprising quality in this bottling.
