  PnP. Opaque purplish red. Medium to full body. Earthy, tart. Plum & blueberry, with raspberry overtones. Long finish. I was wrong before. This is in a good place now and should stay there at least another two years. Very good, typical of a 2007 Napa Cab.

  Cellartracker moment - drank this based on CT notes from others. Cellared since purchase Dec 2009. Dark Purple color, very fragrant cassis/cab nose. I decanted this 2 hours ago. It was initially astringent but is has smoothed out. Black fruit palate that is medium length and ends on a sour note. The acidity is smoothing out over time as is the finish. Not getting any secondary character.
  This bottle has held up well. If other bottles are aging at the rate of this bottle then they could go a few more years.

  Surprise guests. Grabbed a bottle and decanted vigorously: through aerator and screen. Stereo-typical California Cabernet: Medium-density brick/ruby red. No orange on the rim. Flavor was mixed dark and red berries, with the blue slightly predominating. A very pleasant level of spices, especially on the relatively long finish.
  
  We then ran out. Back to the cellar to grab another bottle to PnP. There was no young Cab tannin. The fruits were. as above and only a little bit tight. After only 30 minutes, it softened into a really nice, reasonably complex, wine.
  
  Short answer: I had previously thought that this wine was one to keep in the cellar for a very, very long time. I am now beginning to think that it is reaching the end of its useful life. I will pull out another bottle in the next month or two and post my results.

  Still very nice. Raspberry, cassis, a little leather. Medium palate. Maybe fading a bit.
