Similar to previous note, a bit more oak detected on the finish but was still fairly well integrated. I think the best bottles still have a couple of years left, but no reason to wait.

Did not decant sufficiently. That being said, the nose was muted with exception of a brett aroma. On the palate, this wine was very enjoyable with a mixture of dark berries, mid to full bodied with minerals on a lengthy finish. Update 1/5/2015 - have discovered this wine requires a 3-4 decant in order to fully open and showcase its wonderful qualities of dark fruit and harmonious balance.

This one was singing. Fairly transparent ruby. Slightly reticent nose due to some heat, with coaxing there is spice and bramble. On the palate, delicious dark red fruit, leather, spice, tea, a slight savory element. Medium- acidity. Finish goes on and on and on with a tinge of heat. Good but not great balance, but the depth of flavor somewhat make up for the one or two shortcomings. 14.5%

Very nice Syrah, but not a great value. Dark fruit and pepper spice. This will drink well for 3-5 years.

Not as good as the 2006 when compared side-by-side. Expect it to improve
