PnP. Needs some time in the glass to open up. Nice mix of florals, tar and black fruits wrapped in the kind of tannins that mop up pasta sauces perfectly.

Drunk over two evenings. Pretty good. A nose of sour black cherry, forest floor, liquorice, creosote and tartufi neri. Also, a touch of vanillin oak. On palate, a mix of dark and red berries, with an attractive umami, hoisin sauce element. Good mid palate weight and nervy acids, bringing freshness. The oak largely matched by the fruit, but a little drying on the finish. Probably about there now for drinking, but of course could be cellared.

Decanted for 2.5 hours before serving. In the glass, clear deep red with a hint of garnet at the rim. On the nose, a mix of red berries and a hint of damp wood. On the palate, a soft, elegant core of fruit, with a touch of oak, and a moderately long, somewhat acidic finish. Great food wine.

Drank this at a tasting with the producer in jan 10 at restaurant SMAK in Sandefjord . Very subtle and accessible wine, with lots of soft tastes of red berries, a bit of coco/chocolate. Do not think it will gain any more in the cellar.

Dark fruits with earth, orange rind, tar. Aromas and flavours are subdued and intertwined in a medium bodied, nicely balanced wine.
