Showstopper. Golden yellow color. Big, expressive nose balancing some yeasty/brioche notes with some enchanting apple and pear. The first sip is just as pure a taste of green apple and meyer lemon that one could ask for. Just a strain of pure fruit that moves all the way through the finish while maintaining some excellent brightness and showing off some taut acidic structure. A luxurious wine. Long, delicious finish.
I was taking this down like it was Perrier. Excellent stuff.

Not a fruit driven champagne. This tastes like sucking on a hazelnut shell. On the last taste, after 30 minutes of air, I got some caramelized apple, better, but not my cup of tea.

Very much enjoyed this older vintage Champagne, which I got for around $21 in Garagiste's "garage sale" mystery box. Darker gold in color, with a small, fine bead. Slightly oxidized on the palate, with the nuttiness in the foreground and the fruit far, far behind along with some toast notes. Interesting to taste an older bottle.

not what i expected. Richer, heavier style. Apple is big. My wife asked if I opened sparkling cider.

Good dark color, lots of toast and oxidative qualities on the nose. Very fine bubbles, but they dissipated rather quickly.
