At first this juice was a bit cloying with tight coiled acidity. After cork pull and replacement this needed a couple hours in the fridge to wake up and come together. Expressive and expansive nose of smokey bitter orange, white raisin flesh, green melon, dry Lychee and exotic baking spice hints, On the palate the concentration and length are impressive, apricot, lychee, a pleasant bitter orange edge, brown sugar, Grip with good acidity to juxtapose the honeyed fruit. Very Clean and Precise. (295.9 grams residual sugar/liter, and 6.5 grams/liter total acidity) Reminiscent of a Tokaji Aszu. Purchased upon release and stored accordingly… Na zdrowie

From 37,5 cl, excellent cork. Finally a 2000 Kracher from my big wooden box which I genuinely like! Imagine an ancient PX sherry without the burnt raisin character but with the thickest of thick textures, a ton of glycerine and every other penetrating, sweet gorgeousness. Then add sumptuously ripe, piercing acidity. Yup, we're in heaven. An excellent partner to bitter chocolate. No hurry, but no reason to wait. 94P

Not quite as robust when we last had this. It still is quite tasty but I wonder if it's luster is starting to fade. Nevertheless, this is quite lovely. Deep amber color, caramel and subtle orange hints. Drink up!

Keith's Italian Wine Dinner (Osteria Langhe - Chicago IL): Sweet and rich with good depth showing fresh and dried apricot with a maple syrup note. Good now.

Eastside Tasting Group End of Year Extravaganza (Newcastle, WA): Thick and intense with botrytis and apricot. I think I prefer these in their youth.
