Well stored, bought on the secondary market from Winebid 5 years ago. Cork soaked 1 CM Very well balanced, mellow nose caramelized Lemon and flowers. Hint of butter and oak, Lemon cream. Finished lingered with a fresh after taste. It all came together nicely, sadly my last bottle. Consumed with Wicked Shrimp recipe.

Cellar kept from purchase upon release - this wine is outstanding; beautiful gold color, lovely nose with tropical notes, really, really round. It still has acid enough to keep the buttery notes from overwhelming, and the oak seems very well integrated. Probably at/near peak, but has life left if it's cellar kept.

Good, but still too oaky - even after all this time in the cellar. Oak - annoyingly - gets in the way of what is clearly good quality fruit. A tad short of acidity. Drink up (this from someone who likes older Chards and does not mind nuttiness, almonds, and a bit of waxiness and oxidation).

Unctuous, rich, decadent. Lemon curd, creme brûlée, and buttered popcorn in a bottle.
