Opened an hour in advance. Synthetic cork. Butterscotch spice aroma. Complex flavors of lemon, butter, nutmeg. Slightly sweet butterscotch dominates the lingering finish.
This has evolved and become better integrated. It is well balanced with some depth and backbone. Decent structure, but a little unfocused. I like it. Those who like butter and a little sweetness will like it even better.
Even if it didn't have a synthetic cork, my opinion would be that this is not a good candidate for further aging and should be drunk in the nearer term.

Pale greenish gold. Nose of wax, sweet melon and citrus. The palate is soft and relatively full, overripe white and stone fruit, and musky. The finish is medium and sweeter and hotter, somewhat inelegant. A masked chardonnay, perhaps best as an apertif.

Lacked a bit of acidity I recall in earlier bottles, but still showing nice fruit.

Very happy with this. Improved from a year ago. Now showing more classic chard profile, but maintaining a great balance of fruit, citrus and acidity.
