Bold and mature, but far from dead or in decline. Still very fruity with great acidity. Black and caramelised cherry, plum. Chocolate and vanilla. Almost too much oak for my taste. But still a really good wine.

Excellent. 14% alc. So much better tyhan the 2007 Chateaneuf du Pape we had a week ago. Colour: rich dark red berries Bouquet: rich red berries and fruit - mulberry, plum, plus spice and and touches of vanilla Palate: as bouquet, lovely mouthfeel, lots of pepper, rich velvety berry texture, very soft tannins, and long very dry finish. Quite full bodied. November 2020

Decanted, needed a bit of air to get going. A really nice aged Languedoc, gone is the boisterous youth, in place a mature full bodied wine, with good dark fruit and resolved tannins. No longer would I call this a big wine, very smooth and in its place. Ready now, no need to cellar any longer.

Decanted for an hour. This was a really delicious fruity wine, lots of fruit, yet poised and full of tastes and smells. Definitely a nice green streak here, bit of green paprika, also some leathery smells. The palate suggested this is at its peak. I do have to disagree with the previous taster, this is an excellent wine, made in the Fonquerle style, close to the terroir of the region.

Not my style of wine. The 92+ RP should have warned me about the fruit bomb. The Syrah and Carignan spend 12 months on new oak barrels so all I could taste was oak. Pass.
