  37 years in this is still quite tannic and robust. But the fruit (if it was ever there) is quite hard to reach. I actually don't think this has been drinking better earlier; it's probably starting to reach its peak, but the quality of the fruit is just not there. This will hold for at least a decade from here, but it's not much to wait for.

  My wife and I could not work out if this was corked it not. Deep red colour and still youthful. More astringent than sweet but an interesting wine from one of my favourite Bordeaux vintages.
