Aired for two hours. Lots of everything: fruit, alcohol and length. Paired with filet of lamb, fresh herbs and leaks braised in butter. The wine takes over the dish. The wine is still blue in color! Would have anticipated the very generous oak treatment to have integrated more by now. So I guess that will never happen. After three hours notes of viol and menthol, almost Barolo appearance. I liked the wine more than I thought I would have. No hurry to drink, thought I do not believe it will develop further.

Not to my taste; a big, oak-laden, heavy-set red, more on the "Shiraz" side of the spectrum than Syrah; not much terroir expression happening here, but it'll definitely appeal to those who appreciate this kind of modern, extracted style.
