(SEQUEL) Sequel Dear Friends, We look forward to the release of this wine every year, what’s been dubbed our state’s “baby Grange”. Produced by John Duval (the legendary figure behind 28 years at Penfolds, many of them as the chief winemaker for Grange) in collaboration with Allen Shoup’s Long Shadows project, Duval named this wine Sequel to commemorate his next progression with the Syrah grape. In his mind, the Columbia Valley and its patchwork of vineyards is a close approximation of the plots he used to create Grange - thus his eager excitement over the potential of this project. Needless to say, the 2007 Sequel is his best foot forward – it’s a definitive and refreshing New World wine that does not rely on heavy residual sugar for impact - rather, a mesh of animal, terroir, “dry” extract and deeply penetrating fruit that rings on the palate for a long, long time... A special example from our state that should age very well over the next 10-15 years: For more information on John Duval and this wine: http://bit.ly/l5WFc7 This parcel is directly from the winery cellar with impeccable provenance EXTREMELY LIMITED – hardly any of this wine has made its way to retail 2007 Sequel (Long Shadows/John Duval) - FIRST COME FIRST SERVED up to 12/person until we run out To order: nicki@garagistewine.com This parcel is set to arrive in a few weeks – it is not a long-term pre-arrival (please check OARS for local pick-up after June 20th). (Long Shadows Wineries Sequel Syrah) A nose rich in floral characteristics, as well as red and black cherry, dark plum, and currant, leads nicely to herbal notes and undertones of black tea and Asian cooking spices on the palate. 1,950 cases made. Winery Spotlight: Long Shadows Winery
