My last of four bottles and this one showed the best. Black pepper, slight licorice, ripe black cherry fruit. It is slightly modern in style but it is dry and fresh. Very well done for an "off" vintage. We both enjoyed this but this is perennially one of our favorite bottlings.
Excellent wine. It came to full blossom on the second night. The wine looks Purple colored. The legs are Medium. It smells and tastes like Black currant (cassis), and Stoniness. The body is Full. The wine has Leathery texture. The wine finishes Long. I hope I can find more of it.
This bottle showed much better than the bottle about 18 months ago. Though still ripe, it showed much more refined and more integrated. Sweet fine tannins and good acidity. Similar aromas and flavors as 05, 06 and 07 vintages though not as dense or deep. Very respectable for the vintage. We are big fans of the Favier bottling.
