  • One of my favourite wine. Full body with a long lasting note. Decanted 1 hour.

  • Dark purple. Decanted briefly. Aromas and flavors of dark berries and leather. Soft tannins. Bright, balanced acid. Wonderful! This one was in my wine fridge for the last five yesrs. Msybe that’s why it still seems to have life in it. Not beyond its drinking window, but likely not getting better. So, I’d say drink in 2-3 years if it has been stored well.

  • Opaque purple. Fragrant nose of cassis, blackberry, damson plum and some green bell pepper. Rich dark-fruited palate with a creamy texture and excellent tension on the long finish. This drank best over the first 2 hours following which it slowly became disjointed. The score reflects the peak drinking experience.

  • 8 years since my last bottle... Opened in the morning and slow ox'ed until dinner at at an Argentinian steak house together with an 09 Fieuzal and a 18 Radio Silence. Dark garnet in the glass, plenty of dark berries, some leather, nice but fairly foursquare, short finish. I thought the 09 Fieuzal that followed was head and shoulders above this in terms of not only depth and complexity but also refinement. One of the guests had this however as WOTN. 91-92 for me.

  • Deep purple. Very reticent nose suggesting dark and blue berry fruit, some cocoa and mineral hints although never really achieved lift-off despite 3 hours of air. Quite plush and polished on the palate but the fruit remained very subdued. No signs of oxidation. While certainly enjoyable, this may not have been the best bottle given other reviewers' notes.
