Nose of blackcurrant, raspberry coulis, jam, precious wood, slight hint of vanilla, pepper, touch of mint, slight notes of leather. The palate offers a nice freshness, very fine lacy tannins that will still acquire a patina, a fine texture all in length, finish with a touch of cherry and chocolate. Not a monster of power but it is a very pleasant wine. Aeration will give it a little more body in the mid-palate.
Drank alongside a 2009 Lafont Rochet, I preferred its finesse, class and fruit. Still very young despite being 15 years old. I would probably have gone blind on a 2014. It's good and I think it will improve further.

From St Estephe, this mainly Cabernet Sauvignon blend shows lifted berry fruit, sherbet and a touch of white pepper on the nose. The palate showed intense black fruit, spice and just a touch of earthiness. Great balance and lovely long finish.

Good fruit and ripeness here. Nice minerality; smooth, simple, light and leafy - refreshing choice for current drinking.
