  • Drinking better now, more settled, relaxed & integrated. These Potel wines need the time in bottle.

  • Light ruby with a touch of garnet on the rim. Nice soft nose with damp earth, cherry & strawberry. Astrigent & bitter off the bat. Sour red fruit flavours don't really help this out too much. I wish this was softer on the palate as it could have been fantastic. Light-medium bodied, mild grainy tannins. The flavours are concentrated & precise. Medium finish that still leaves a little bitterness. This wine is not overly satisying and, as a 1er Cru, this also makes me a touch bitter.

  • Ruby-garnet; sour cherries, manure, wild strawberries; sour cherry, lemony, light-medium body, citrusy acidity, firm grainy tannins, ok finish.
Faint fresh manure and fruit but light and tart with astringent mouthfeel. Don't see this developing into a profound 1er cru. Wife no like.
