Popped my last bottle of this Rose alongside Spinach and Mushroom Enchiladas in Roasted Tomatillo Sauce ala Rick Bayless. I had two really off bottles out of my six pack, but this one was fine. This a wine that is really made for summer drinking, but what the hell. On the palate there is bright red fruit (strawberry/cherry) with a nice briary-peppery finish. Decent acidity on the palate and a rather dry finish. A Rose that provides a nice buzz thanks to the 15% alcohol which is well concealed!

Not rated...Something is not right here. Very tart, almost sour and little fruit. Maybe heat damaged or just a bad bottle. Offensive. Can't drink this one...

THis is my third bottle of the Isabels Cuvee and while I've enjoyed them all, the last two were a bit too "spritzy" for me. I wasn't bothered by it in the first bottle, but in the last two bottles it was quite prominent. This is still my fave wine this summer for quaffing. Decent fruit and I love the spicy finish. 15% alcohol on a rose is nice, you can actually catch a buzz!!

I was looking forward to trying one of these since it was lauded here after the Rhone Rangers event back in March. Mine arrived Tuesday and I got around to popping one tonight. This a wine that is made for summer drinking. On the palate there is bright red fruit (strawberry/cherry) with a briary-peppery finish. Nice and dry and no hint of the 15% alcohol. I served it rather cool and it went well with pizza and roasted garlic. Would be great at a barbecue. I really enjoyed this and look forward to Tracey and Jared's Syrahs next year.
