Checking in on an entry level 2008. Had mainly over 2 nights with a small glass left on the 3rd night. Basically identical for the first 2 nights and then going completely south on the 3rd night. Savory flavors surrounding the fruit. Still a good amount of tannins present on the finish. This has good complexity for an entry level wine. At this point, I think I'll drink my last bottle in the next 24 months.
Decanted for 30 mins or so. Brick red-orangey hue. I notice the presence of very fine tartaric crystals floating in every glass I pour. Very little nose to speak of. Falls flat on the pallate, very little fruit. Rather acidic, mild notes of cherry and tobacco box... nothing funky but rather underwhelming. I expected more from a 2008 Willamette Pinot.
