90-something. Golden mahogany. Medium+ body. Complex, dry (thanks to the unaccompanied Palomino), nutty, w/ budding richness. Long finish. Slight saline aftertaste. To die for with sourdough crostini, blue cheese, and anchovy-stuffed, Spanish olives. Over 250 years of wine-making history in a glass! 18% abv.

Even bigger, richer, and figgier than the amontillado, perhaps even smoky. I like it. Very much in the abocado style, creamy, sweet, and low acid, this might not appeal to every sherry geek, but it really is delicious.

Something was definitely wrong with this bottle. It tasted like I was drinking Scotch, complete with the alcohol burn.

So incredibly nutty. Scorched almonds. But with a salinity that shocked me. New to sherry but this is very, very intriguing!
