Lovely clean and fresh cranberry fruit with a touch of cherry. Has developed very nicely and the tannins are almost fully integrated. Lush and very easy to drink and has a very balanced profile with a lovely acidity! I simple adored it and shows why these wines should be aged to open up and balance all the flavors! For me, this wine is at its peak right now! From MG.

The nose is clean of medium (+) intensity showing notes of red fruit (cherry, cranberry), crushed stone and herbaceousness (tomato leaf, asparagus). The wine is youthful.
The wine is dry with high acidity, medium tannins, medium alcohol, medium (+) body, long length and medium flavor intensity of red fruit (cherry, cranberry), crushed stone and herbaceousness (tomato leaf, asparagus).
The wine is very good. This is a thoroughly lovely, bright and immensely drinkable effort. It shows complexity of primary fruit even for a 10+ old wine with no signs of development yet. Grippy structure displaying beautiful balance between acidity and alcohol. The only thing it could use is a bit more intensity to give it more punch for longer cellaring.

Immediate explosive aromatics with roses, sweet red fruits. Red fruits and seemingly several layers of minerality. Still holding major tannins, though not harsh. More modern and polished in style than the Calabretta we had the same weekend. I think this will profit well from additional bottle aging.

Aeolian Sailing Trip & a bit of Etna; 8/22/2014-8/31/2014 (Eolian Islands): Open from the pull of the cork. Very expressive and elegant. Has that smoky edge we saw in the quardiola, but has a rounder and richer side. Dark fruits, more Barolo than burgundy good length and complexity. Pretty solid wine and drinks very nicely now. Time is its friend too. 92+

very nice stand alone wine - easy drinkable - but I am missing some character, not a long after-taste.
