Popped and poured. This is a cherry-red wine. On the nose, there is cherry, rose hips, and a hint of alcohol. In the mouth, there is some sweetness, cola, and some spicy cinnamon. Overall, this is okay but not great; it runs a bit hot. 90 points.
Popped and pouredVery dark color, hot nose with underlying fruit, when opened also hot on the palate with fruit increasing as it sat in the glass and opened up. This wine needs time to open up, either let it sit a few more years or decant. I left it in the bottle without gas and will try it tomorrow and update this note
Again, brick red, but showing some stronger fruit on this bottle. Rasberries for sure. This is not California fruit bomb, but the fruit isn't hidden behind secondary characteristics either. A nice expression of what Oregon can do.
This never opened up for me. Dick Shea is the Oracle of Pinot so I am going to sit on my remaining 2 bottles for another few years. I have faith these will come around. Beautiful silky wine that just wouldn't budge.
