While we agree on a score, I had a totally different impression than DKHARA. Upon opening/decant this was deep colored, super ripe, extracted and bristling with acidity. Interesting to taste but no pleasure to drink. Much better onDay 2 as it settled out and calmed down. Typical for this guy’s wines, not my cup of tea.

Very intact. Transparent ruby with very slight bricking/watery rim variation. Dried cherry and bay leaf...surprising amount of fruit (that shows signs of the warm vintage) left. Nose would lead to more maturity. Palate was "velvety"...maybe too much so. Would have liked a little more energy and acid to balance out fruit. Others might give higher score as I tend to favor acid above all in balance/harmony. More masculine compared to Magnien and Mugnier...missing ethereal element that a good/great Chambolle delivers.

Nice wine, probably was better a year or two ago--fruit seemed to have faded some. Had the more masculine Fuees qualitites of Chambolle Musigny. Not overly complex, but again, a nice wine. I'll drink my remaining bottle sooner than later.
