  • Big and grippy body, but still surprisingly nimble and nuanced on the palate. The palate is not at all what I would have expected from Cab Franc: dusty plum and earthy bramble. Not a wine I could drink regularly but it hit the spot last night.

  • Evidently modern leaning. I'm not sure I could identify this as tuscan, but there's no denying it is complex and interesting. 100% Cab Franc from coastal Tuscany (Bolgheri). It pours inky dark, opaque black/purple. The nose features noted new, integrating, high quality oak: toasted hazelnut, sawdust, charcoal, followed by deep rich fruit dark plums, blackberry liquor, cassis, and some other nice secondaries poke through via forest undergrowth. The palate has a fair bit of tannin and a moderate finish. Honestly, this is a little large scaled for me, but nonetheless an interesting wine.

  • Smooth, almost unctuous cab franc with dark almost brooding cherry flavor. Not in any danger of running out of steam. Seems like excellent wine for what I paid for it. Would buy again.

  • I have always loved this wine. PnP fr 750. Color starting to brick - lovely. Nose continues to be restrained. Well rounded, soft tannins, medium finish - this bottle didn't shine as others have. Drink up?

  • My last bottle. Double decanted, some sediment. Deep red color.
First pour ten minutes later: Nice blackberry on nose and on palate, but seems a bit closed.
Two hours later: Opening up nicely.
Next day: A very good wine, with fruit, tannins and acids in balance, and medium-to-long aftertaste. Wish I had more.
