This was quite attractive. A bit thin on the palate but had a combination of sweetness with some dryness and earthiness on the finish. Showing well at this stage though may fade. Drink now.

I am also in K&L club. I made Socca- a casserole with beef, potato, and savoy cabbage from the Valle D'Aosta region. I know the dish sounds odd but was delicious. Anyway, this wine was one of 4 Italian wines served from the Italian club. It was the clear winner of the night for food-pairing.

A decent barbera acids are bright. Doesn't appear to have the fruit depth for much aging. Not a lot of earth depth either.

We didn't finish the bottle. In fact, we were done before the first glass was finished.
