From Mag. Light golden, clear with fine bubbles unending. Nose is green apple with brioche and pear emerging on the p-alate. No oxidative notes. Great acidity. Glad to have several mo0re Mags.

Annual Caroling & Chili Party (R&D's): Our last of the ‘02, a magnum, and upon opening it poured a light straw yellow color with a medium mousse. Apple and ripe pear elements in the bouquet with gingerbread and pear on the palate. A touch on the tart side upon opening, this improved a touch with air. Good, but not great, more than drinkable, and perhaps would have done better with food than on its own in the walk around tasting format tonight. 87+ pts.

Sthlm Food & Wine Champagne-tastings (Älvsjömässan, Stockholm): (Late disgorged in 2022, 100% Chardonnay from Oger) Lovely nose with butter, cream and butterscotch and opens up with some candied lemons as well and opens up with dark chocolate in a very pleasant way. Smoothing lemon acidity with an intense finish showing dark chocolate and yellow plums and leaving a lovely minerals saltiness on the lips as well (Best 2022-2032)

Medium dark golden color. Drank 3+ glasses over 4 hours. This was a mature Champagne showing some oxidation and deep tertiary flavors. The nose shows sour dough, yeast, golden apple, apple peel, and roasted nuts. The palate is full bodied, deep, with baked apple, poached pear, moderately oxidative - though still where I find it interestingly enjoyable, nutty, sherry, sour dough, citrus pith and nut skins. This is probably hanging on the edge right now, but we both found it very enjoyable. If you really like an oxidative, mature style champagne, you'll probably like it even more than we did. 91+ to 92pts.

Magnum. Gul på farge. Krem og bolle, veldig mineralsk. Mangler litt trøkk i munn, nesen er best.
