  • Deep dark red center, red rim with some signs of age.
Sweet, plums, blackcurrants and cherries, a little marzipan, intense, rubbed marjoram and rosemary.
Smooth, ripe plums and stewed cherries, drying tannins and acidity, ripe and round, rubbing tobacco, a little leafy on the finish, great length of mature fruit and herbs.
Great Brdx blend. Drinking very well now, but will last 3 more years or more.

  • Drinking great, needs a full 2 hours after decanting to open up and blow off a touch of Bret. Nose is very floral with lots of high notes due to the medium plus acidity. Dusty black plum, raspberry, over ripe reduced strawberry, roses, aspirin, hints of sweet raw chop meat and wet saddle. Palate is precise, mineral, medium plus acidity, hints of sweet fruit, raspberry and cherry. Firm grip, decent mid palate, long mineral finish. Medium bodied, this is not a Napa fruit bomb or heavily oaked wine. Elegant, feminine, mineral, went great with prime rib. Served at 60-65 and stored accordingly. Drink now – 3 years+ ?... • Oak and cedar, menthol and coffee grounds; this bottle had a real earthiness and lots of structure, but lacking in the fruit category; definitely a profile aligned with Bordeaux, but I'm more of a CA cab guy so this bottle was not up my alley. I'd say drink up, it's going to fade and could get hollow. Also agree that value is not there at the price point.

  • Deep dark red center, dark red rim with modest signs of age.
Cassis, pine, herbal notes, resin, ripe black cherries, quite intense.
Smooth, dark red fruits, pine, then noticeable tannins, followed by slightly astringent oak, balsam, licorice, dry finish with moderate length (slightly weedy).
Very good Bordeaux style blend, but the nose suggests more than the mouth delivers. I still favor the regular Cabernet over Elivette (feel it gives a longer lasting wine experience).

  • Decanted 1 hour.
Raisin , plum, hints of chocolate and coffee nose. A little tomato also comes out on the nose. Chocolate, hints of plum, black currant, hint of cheese on the palette. Nice wine.
