  • Brought this to a family lunch to celebrate Father's Day and my Mum's birthday at Yummy Recipes.

A good wine with potential but clearly needs to time to develop and evolve. Sweet notes of honeysuckle, honeycomb, caramel and toffee. Rich and concentrated.

Flavourful, but the integration could have been better.

  • Rich straw colour with a viscous character. The Gewürztraminer character immediately apparent on the nose. The floral leading note was quite heady and noticeable some way from the glass. Behind it came the mango and "tropical" fruit salad. In the mouth this was unctuous, sweeter than medium and again strongly floral/blossom led. Too overpowering for Mrs S who asked for a back up wine. To me, this was a real treat, always leaving me with a hankering for another sip. Flavour profile was long and but not very complex. At 13%, this caused me some problems the next morning. Still drinking well as an aperitif over the next three days. Not enough experience of wines of this nature to offer any views on quality or age but I'm happy to have had the experience. That said, I
probably won't seek any more. Now wondering what the Pinot Gris will offer.

  • Drank this at home during the 7th day celebration dinner for the Chinese New Year.

Served it together with the ice-cream cake. Notes of almond, macadamia, honey. For a quality dessert wine, this bottle lacked finesse and density to move from good to great.

  • Drank this with my roommate and his girlfriend over lunch at Burlamacco Ristorante today.

Sweet with medicinal and Chinese herbal notes. Some kamquet and honey and grass jelly in between. Will go well with desserts, and probably overpower all other food items.

On the whole, the impression of the wine is that it is a little too cloggy and syrupy. Reminiscence of cough syrup and Nin Jiom Pei Pa Koa.

Overall slightly disappointed that the wine did not do it's job well for the day.

  • Drank this today to celebrate 2 birthdays at Asia Grand Restaurant.

Yellow in colour with a relatively muted nose. Had expected a more expressive nose from a Gewurztraminer.

On the palate the sweetness is subdued, with hints of ripe tropical fruits (lychee, longan, pineapples) and dried mangoes.

Had expected more from this wine. Perhaps it is a little early for consumption.
